Vivo S1 Pro confirmed for India launch via teaser on Amazon, to come with 48-MP AI quad cameras
2019 was a busy year for Vivo in India and it now looks likely that 2020 could end up going the same way for the company. A new teaser has been released on Amazon which suggests the company could be all set to bring a new smartphone to the online market early on in 2020.
Via a teaser that’s currently live on Amazon, Vivo has revealed that the company will soon be launching the S1 Pro smartphone in India. The company has also revealed that it will bring with it an AI-backed quad camera set-up with a primary 48-megapixel lens and a 32-megapixel camera at the front for clicking selfies.
While the company hasn’t revealed any other information about the device, leaks in the past have laid bare much that remains to be known about the S1 Pro.
Earlier, 91Mobiles revealed that the Vivo S1 Pro will be launched in India as a mid-range offering whose price will be Rs 19,990 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The publication has also claimed that the company could launch another variant of the device with 6GB of RAM, however, there is no information on the price yet.
While new to India, the Vivo S1 Pro was previously launched in The Philippines and comes with a waterdrop notch and diamond-shape quad cameras instead of pop-up selfie camera design and triple camera setup at the back.
The phone has been reported to bring with it a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with support for Full-HD+ resolution. Under the hood, the Vivo S1 Pro is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 665 SoC that will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
For cameras, the phone will get a 48-megapixel quad camera set-up arranged in a diamond shape. The primary camera will be sat next to an 8-megapixel secondary sensor and two 2-megapixel ones. On the front, there’d be a 32-megapixel f/2.0 selfie camera and keeping the lights on the device will be a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support, dual-SIM support, and USB Type-C port. For security, the phone could feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
