Motorola One Vision gets Android 10 update in India, also brings January Security Patch
It has been almost four months since Android 10 rolled out on Google's Pixel devices and so far, only the premium flagship phones have got it. However, most companies have started rolling out Android 10 updates to their affordable phones and Motorola is the latest one to do so. It delivered the Android 10 update to the older One Power back in December and now, the 2019 models are in the queue. The One Vision is the first one among these to get the newer version of Android.
Motorola has started delivering the Android 10 update to the One Vision via OTA updates. The One Vision launched last year with Android 9 Pie and at the time, Motorola said it would get two years of Android updates. The first one is now out in the form of Android 10 and given that it's an Android One phone, it will get most of the features that we have seen so far on the Pixel devices.
The update weighs almost 1.9GB and it is recommended that you download it via a Wi-Fi network. As with all the builds of Android 10, the one on the One Vision will also get the new features related to location and privacy settings. The long-awaited dark mode also comes to the One Vision whereas the new gesture navigation system also makes its way to the handset. Motorola will still offer its custom one-button navigation system as part of Moto Experiences.
The update is also bringing the January Security Patch to the One Vision.
The One Vision is among the few Android One devices selling in India that has got the Android 10 update. The phone originally launched last year at a price of Rs 19,999 but Motorola later slashed the prices and it is currently selling on Flipkart for Rs 13,999. The One Vision gets its unique 21:9 aspect ratio display with a punchhole cutout for the selfie camera. It also gets a 48-megapixel camera at the back with Motorola's Night mode.
Motorola also has a couple of other phones in its Android One program. The Motorola One Action is also scheduled to get the Android 10 update soon while the One Macro could get it at a later date. Motorola has still not announced any Android 10 rollout for the Motorola G8 Plus that launched recently.
Motorola is currently in the process to launch its foldable Razr to the Indian market and official teasers have suggested that Razr will be manufactured in India. Hence, we can expect to see the Motorola Razr launch in the country soon.
